Lauren Mendonsa Quoted in Employment Law Daily 2015 Supreme Court Preview

Employment Law Daily just released a look back at the Supreme Court's 2014, as well as a preview of their 2015 schedule.

Set for oral arguments on February 25th is a case between the EEOC and Abercrombie & Fitch. Lauren Mendonsa, of Bernabei & Wachtel, was previously interviewed about the case, which centered around the question of how much "actual knowledge" an employer must have to be on notice that a religious accommodation is required.

Says Mendonsa, "Requiring job applicants to provide potential employers with actual notice of their need for accommodation gives employers a perverse incentive to conceal their expectations and policies and deny jobs to individuals with potential religious conflicts rather than determine whether religious accommodations are possible."
