KATI DAFFAN, ATTORNEY

Kati Daffan joined Bernabei & Wachtel, PLLC following two and a half years as a Skadden fellow and staff attorney at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in New York City. There, Ms. Daffan helped to design and establish a "Workers' Rights Project," and represented hundreds of working poor clients in cases ranging from wage and hour claims to eviction proceedings. Her work included litigation before the trial and appellate courts of New York and a diverse variety of administrative agencies. Prior to her Skadden fellowship, Ms. Daffan worked as a law clerk for United States District Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Daffan attended Columbia Law School and graduated with honors in 2005, following internships with the Inter-American Commission for Human Rights, the Urban Justice Center, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Prior to law school, Ms. Daffan graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, where she majored in International and Public Affairs. Ms. Daffan is fluent in Spanish. She is admitted to the New York State and District of Columbia Bars and admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
