Lynne Bernabei presented at the recent annual conference of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), for the panel, “Making Arbitration Work for Plaintiffs’ Employment Lawyers.”

Her course materials discussed the sources of arbitration law, including several categories of workers who are not covered by the Federal Arbitration Act because they are involved in interstate transportation. Lynne and her fellow panelists discussed the scope of discovery allowed in arbitration as compared to court proceedings, such as limits on depositions and third party discovery. They also discussed the judicial review of arbitration decisions and awards, including challenges to arbitration awards, and general strategy issues for working with arbitrators.
