Alan Kabat Co-Writes an Op-Ed for the Huffington Post

On December 8, 2017, an op-ed co-written by Bernabei & Kabat partner, Alan Kabat, and Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law president and executive director, Kristen Clarke, was published in the Huffington Post. The article titled, ” The Supreme Court And Stereotyping – Why The Justices Must Reject The Muslim Ban” calls for the Supreme Court Justices to not allow common stereotypes to sway their opinions when deciding on the Muslim Ban cases. The article goes on to discuss the history of stereotyping in public opinion and its long-lasting effect on court decisions including Dred Scott v. Sandford, Plessy v. Ferguson, Brown v. Board of Education, Loving v. Virginia, and Obergefell v. Hodges. To read more about this interesting viewpoint, click here.
