Bernabei & Kabat, an employment law and civil rights law firm in Washington, D.C., is currently seeking a mid-level Associate with extensive experience in employment law, to begin in Winter or Spring 2020.
The Associate will participate in all aspects of client representation, including interviewing clients, drafting case correspondence and pleadings, conducting discovery, and participating in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Associates have extensive client contact and participate in case development and strategy. We also encourage Associates’ professional development by providing time for Associates to attend seminars and trainings and to seek out opportunities for publication.
Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in plaintiff-side employment litigation, including demonstrated experience with discovery and motions practice in state and federal courts, and must be admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. Our ideal candidate has excellent research and writing skills, strong academic credentials, a desire to litigate, and a demonstrated commitment to employment law and civil rights.
