Mikaela Phillips joined Bernabei & Kabat as a Civil Rights Litigation Fellow in August 2021. Ms. Phillips graduated cum laude from William & Mary Law School in May 2021, where she served as Senior Articles Editor of the William & Mary Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice. As a Research Assistant to Professor Timothy Zick, Ms. Phillips researched racial justice protests, student speech rights, and qualified immunity. She also served as a Fellow in the law school's Legal Practice Program.

During law school, Ms. Phillips spent two summers as a law clerk at Victor M. Glasberg & Associates, where she worked on Section 1983, civil rights, and employment discrimination cases. She also externed with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's New York District Office.

Ms. Phillips graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University in May 2018 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Psychology.

Not admitted in Washington, D.C.; practicing under the supervision of Lynne Bernabei, Alan Kabat, Peter Whelan, and Kristen Sinisi.
