Last week, Lynne Bernabei and Kristen Sinisi attended the ABA International Labor and Employment Law Committee’s conference in Milan, Italy, where Ms. Bernabei participated in a panel discussion about global “hot topics” in employment law.
Specifically, Ms. Bernabei discussed issues of employee privacy in the global workplace and analyzed varying trends across European and American jurisdictions. She also discussed how the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which becomes effective in Europe on May 25, 2018, may affect U.S. employees’ data and privacy rights.
