On October 16, 2018, CNN’s Jake Tapper interviewed Bernabei & Kabat client Dr. Ruth Etzel. Dr. Etzel, who for the past two years has been leading a major federal strategy to reduce children’s exposure to lead and its adverse health effects at the Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Etzel was recently placed on administrative leave, and believes that she has been sidelined within the Agency as a result of her extended efforts to reduce lead exposure, especially after the Flint, Michigan water crisis.
