Diverse Publishes Article about AU Professor’s Appeal of Tenure Denial

Diverse published an article on June 20, 2018 about AU professor, Carolyn Brown, who appealed her tenure denial. Although Ms. Brown alleged that her tenure denial was procedurally irregular, and the product of illegal race and gender discrimination and retaliation, AU President Sylvia Burwell upheld her denial of tenure. Ms. Brown now intends to file a charge with the D.C. Office of Human Rights.
