Lynne Bernabei spoke at the NELA Spring Conference on “Representing Corporate Whistleblowers” on April 8, 2016. The panel’s presentation discussed the mechanisms that corporate employees have to report misconduct, including to enforcement agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, even where the employer has a confidentiality agreement that purports to prevent reporting to the SEC. Lynne and the panel also discussed issues relating to settlement agreements for corporate whistleblowers, including confidentiality provisions in settlement agreements.
