Partner Lynne Bernabei Presents on Expert Witness Depositions at CLE Session

Lynne Bernabei presented a CLE session, “Preparing for an Expert Witness Deposition in Employment Cases” on April 20, 2017. Lynne focused on how to analyze and attack the opposing expert’s qualifications, opinions, and expert methodology. Lynne also explained approaches for analyzing the assumptions made by the expert witness, and determining whether those assumptions, as well as ignoring contrary evidence and prior research in the expert’s field, may have led to biased conclusions. The expert testimony discussed included economic experts (monetary losses from a termination) and mental health experts (emotional distress damages).
