Bernabei & Kabat has completed its hiring of civil rights litigation fellowship for 2026. We will be hiring fellows for the fall of 2027 through the Equal Justice Works career fair in October 2026.
Our Civil Rights Litigation Fellowship lasts for one year, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent associate position during the fellowship. The Fellow participates in all aspects of litigation, from interviewing clients to assisting with trials, hearings and mediations. Fellows have extensive client contact and participate in case development and strategy. We also encourage Fellows’ professional development by providing time for Fellows to attend seminars and trainings and to seek out opportunities for publication.
Our ideal Fellow candidate has excellent research and writing skills, strong academic credentials, a desire to litigate, and a demonstrated commitment to civil rights.
